Al Dunn USMC Retired asked:

Being the worlds last major superpower , we have the ability to force OPEC to drop the world oil prices by ultimatum. Lower the prices or we take control of the oil and regulate prices that the world can live with. Its now or later. The economies of the world cannot sustain this much longer because sooner or later the poor man will revolt.

OIL Prices?

Sunday, July 25th, 2010
oil prices
chris_c4111 asked:

Why if Canada’s Oil Reserves are worth an estimated 80 trillion $$ (Figure from National Geographic Documentary 2005) and Syncrude and Shell Companies are literally destroying and contaminating the Alberta’s forest / land with the waste left over from the Oil sand extraction and producing close to 500,000 barrels a day (could be more by now)

1. WhyCanadians have to pay today’s Oil Prices for something that has not been refined and it is not at the Pumps like, Gasoline.?

Oil prices are so high that many companies are closing down, people losing jobs, homes, etc.

2. Wondering what do you think our Governments are doing to overcome a situation that could become chaotic in few
years time?

3. The Canadian Economy is weakening little by little, what do we need to do to keep a healthy and strong economy?

4. I think the bio-fuels are not the answer to our transportation problems?

Please share your positive or negative thoughts.

Crash Course: Chapter 17a - Peak Oil by Chris Martenson

Saturday, July 24th, 2010
ChrisMartensondotcom asked:

Chapter 17a - Peak Oil: Energy is the lifeblood of any economy and a steady supply of energy is necessary to maintain the status quo, while an ever-increasing supply is needed to grow an economy. In this chapter, Dr. Chris Martenson explains that Peak Oil is not a theory, rather it is a description of how oil production increases over time, reaches a peak, then declines. Evidence points to a global production peak in the near future, which is troubling since the US imports two-thirds of its oil and relies on it to much of its transportation and food production needs. www.chrismartenson.com

How much are gas prices really affecting your everyday life?

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010
gas prices
The Brain asked:

We all obviciously know gas prices are at historically high rate and all I hear when I watch tv is how much people have to cut other things out of their budgets to pay for gas. But when I drive by the malls and shopping centers on the weekends, they look as busy as ever. There also doesn’t seem to be any less cars on the road on non business days. How bad is it really?
