The Oil shortage of 1973 was the result of the USA inflating it’s dollar, which was backed by oil instead of gold. If the USA continues to fund it’s budget with printing paper money not backed by gold, we will price ourselves right out of gasoline?

It’s interesting, the crude oil price has fallen under 85$/barrel but the price at the pump it’s not reflecting it. The price crawls down a couple of cents here and there but soars 25-30 cent/gallon every time there are rumors of turmoils or OPEC thinking of decreasing production etc. Another thing I have noticed, at different pumps it seems you get different amount of gasoline. My tank doesn’t expand or contracts does it? Is there a organizations that checks for “fixed” pumps?

the point is you can blame bush for high oil prices but you cannot blame obama.
